CLEVELAND – Dereck Wischmeyer has been named Vice President, General Counsel, of Everstream, a super-regional network service provider bringing fiber-based Ethernet, internet and data center solutions to businesses throughout the Midwest.
In this newly created role, Wischmeyer will be responsible for all assessing all legal matters for Everstream, including preparing and reviewing real estate agreements and regulatory review in support of the company’s expansion efforts as well as active participation in any contract process.
“Dereck will serve a critical role for Everstream as we expand our fiber footprint across the Midwest,” said Everstream President and Chief Executive Officer Brett Lindsey. “His expertise will be an asset as we evaluate the various factors that impact Everstream moving into these new markets. Plus, he has key relationships with agencies at all levels of government to help facilitate those conversations.”
Prior to joining Everstream, Wischmeyer served as Government Relations Counsel / Associate General Counsel for Crown Castle, formerly Lightower and Fibertech Networks, where he was responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating easements, leases, and purchase and sale agreements, conducting due diligence for real estate transactions, and providing regulatory and legal support to negotiate franchise and other right-of-way use agreements.
