CLEVELAND – Everstream, the business-only fiber network, today announced it has been awarded a Best Employers in Ohio 2022 honor from Crain’s Cleveland Business and Best Companies Group. The award recognizes employers in Ohio that offer a work-life balance that encourages employee productivity and overall employee well-being. This is the third year in a row Everstream has received the award.
The Best Employers in Ohio award identifies and honors the best places of employment across the state. The 2022 list is a celebration of elite employers who prove they know what it takes to create an environment where people love to come to work. To be considered, companies participate in a two-part survey that evaluates employee experience – which is worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation – as well as workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics.

Employees are encouraged to uphold the company’s mantra – DWYSYWD, or Do What You Say You Will Do – to best serve Everstream customers as the company rolls out high-capacity fiber networks across a 10-state footprint in the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic. The company increased its total route miles of fiber by 80% in 2021, growing to more than 27,000 route miles.
To support its rapid growth, Everstream has increased headcount by 50 employees in the past two years, while fostering a corporate culture that is consistent across its growing number of offices. Company programs to help employees reach their physical and mental wellness goals include fitness challenges, no-cost subscriptions to Noom, mental health awareness and management activities, and volunteer opportunities with Ronald McDonald House Charities.
